Specific Knowledge/Skills
Qualification
• MS / BS degree of EE or CS
- ClearCase (UNIX/Windows)
• Knowledge of embedded system architecture
• Embedded system test method
• Good Perl programming background and experience.
• Good Linux/Unix shell ( ksh , csh ) programming background.
• Familiar with Excel , Vision microsoft etc office tool
• Good oral and written English skill.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, good team spirit and adaptability

Department Description
The AJAR team in Motorola TTPCom Product Group are responsible for the architecture, design, development and support of the AJAR applications framework. AJAR is designed for efficiency in mass-market (below US$150) feature phones. AJAR offers a highly configurable, modular applications solution, with a wide range of pre-integrated applications and a highly integrated toolset to support rapid development of new products.

The AJAR team is distributed globally, with major development centres in the UK, Denmark and China (Shanghai) with additional development and support centres in Seoul and Taipei.


Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The candidate’s key responsibilities will be to develop high quality and professional software under embedded environments found in GSM or 3G handset. The work ranges in scope from configuring existing software modules to work with new platform to the design of entirely new features primarily in the ares of local connectivity solutions. The role will be varied and will involve all stages of the product life cycle from initial project justification through design, implementation and testing.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Specific Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of telecommunications, local connectivity (e.g. Bluetooth, WLAN, PC connectivity) and embedded systems software is highly desirable.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming,
Use of version control systems,
Good technical writing skills – requirements capture, design and user documentation,
Basic knowledge of digital hardware and real-time embedded software engineering is desirable.
Experienced in using object oriented analysis design and modeling concepts and/or tools.
