宁波萨基姆波导研发有限公司（NSBRD）成立于2006年1月，是一家由宁波波导股份有限公司和法国萨基姆通讯有限公司共同投资组建的中外合资高科技研发企业，注册资本600万美元，座落于蓬勃发展的中国东南沿海城市宁波。公司主要致力于各种移动电话及相关电子设备、部件的硬件、软件产品的研发及技术服务的提供，其科研成果同时提供给波导和萨基姆两家公司使用。
NSBRD是双方的全球三大研发基地之一，是双方长期合作、优势互补的结晶。NSBRD兼具西方先进的技术实力、管理理念和中方雄厚的人力资本的双重优势，并把这种合力的优势融入手机的研发设计之中，不断取得新的发展和突破。
组织架构
NSBRD颠覆传统模式，采用先进的纵横结合的矩阵式架构，纵向以职能为导向，横向以产品为导向，大大提高了研发管理的水平，缩短了产品的研发周期，加快了新产品推出的速度，更加适应手机市场的高速发展。
产品研发
NSBRD拥有由本土研发工程师与法国技术专家以及印度、韩国等国的专家组成的研发队伍，采用综合测试仪CMU200、微波暗室、SAR检测系统、高端频谱分析仪等先进的研发设备和版本管理软件、Bug数据库等先进的研发软件，以及富有灵活性、高效性和创新性的研发平台，并依托完善的信息网络体系，在项目、硬件、软件、质量等多个部门的相互协调下，设计出技术领先、款式时尚、质量可靠的移动通讯产品。
2006年，NSBRD共为波导和萨基姆通讯研发出50余款新产品，开发出英语通、DM、PM来电秀以及Push mail等新功能，赢得了市场的广泛认可。
质量追求
设计质量是产品质量的关键，设计质量控制是整个产品质量控制体系的重中之重。作为手机设计者，NSBRD在每款新品手机正式立项之前都要对其进行严格的评审，在产品批量生产之前还将经过200多项严格的测试，并根据产品的售后反馈不断改进产品质量。NSBRD对质量的不懈追求，将更好地满足国内国际用户对手机质量的严格要求。
人才培养
NSBRD成立以来，人才队伍已逾600人，并呈现年轻化、高素质化的整体格局，其中来自法国的技术专家近30人，内部培养的拥有中高级技术职称的研发人员200多名。

Ningbo Sagem Bird Research and Development CO., LTD.（NSBRD）is a high-tech research and development joint venture funded by Ningbo Bird CO., LTD and French Sagem Communication CO., LTD, with the registered capital of 6 million dollars. It is founded in January 2006 with the superior location in Ningbo, a blossoming coastal city in southeast of China. The corporation devotes itself into research and development of hardware and software of various mobile phones and relative electronic equipment and parts, as well as technical service, contributing its scientific and research achievements to Bird and Sagem.
As one of the three main research and development bases over the world owned by Bird and Sagem Communication, NSBRD has been cultivated by both parties during their long-term cooperation, in possession of their own advantages as supplement to each other. Combining western advanced technical force, management idea and abundant local human resources, NSBRD takes advantages of them, utilizes them into research and development and the design of mobiles, to attain new development and breakthrough continuously.
Organization architecture
Overthrowing traditional model, NSBRD adopts advanced matrix architecture, with function in vertical direction and product in horizontal direction, thus, it has improved the ability of research and development management, shortened product research and development cycle, speeded up introduction of new product and adapted to fast development of the mobile market.
Product research and development
NSBRD owns a devoted research and development team comprising local research and development engineers, technical specialists from France, India and Korea and uses advanced research and development equipment including comprehensive testing instrument CMU200, microwave darkroom, SAR inspection system, top frequency spectrum analysis instrument, and advanced research and development software including version management software and bug database. Supported by flexible, high-efficient and creative research and development platform and perfect information network system and thanks to coordination and cooperation of project, hardware, software and quality department, NSBRD has designed mobile communication products with advanced technology, stylish model and reliable quality.
In Year 2006, NSBRD developed over 50 types of new product for Bird and Sagem Communication, as well as new function of English learning, DM, PM, CallShowand Push mail, acquiring wide acknowledgement from the market.
Quality objective
Design quality is the key point for product quality and thus design quality control is highlighted focus in the whole product quality control system. As a mobile designer, NSBRD always makes strict evaluation and approval before initiation of project for a new type of mobile phone. Before mass production of the product, over 200 tests will be taken strictly. Measures will be taken to improve product quality continuously according to after sales feedback of the product. NSBRD will keep its pursuit to quality and try to meet strict requirements to quality of mobile phones of users home and abroad.
Talent cultivation
Since its foundation, NSBRD has built a talent team with over 600 persons, tending to have more youngsters and high-quality specialists wholly. Among them, there are nearly 30 technical specialists from France and over 200 research and development persons with middle level and senior technical titles fostered by NSBRD itself.
Adhering to the ides of “Develop the corporation with science and technology and people orientation”, NSBRD regards staff as most important assets of the corporation. It recruits various technical talents with all-round talent recruitment mechanism, stipulates and implements a series of training plan specifically to research and development personnel and holds training activities in ability improvement, high education with authorized degree and foreign language and technique. Other stimulation measures such as competitive salary, compensation and benefit, inner promotion system in technical titles, share holding of key technical personnel are adopted to attract and maintain talents.
NSBRD also provides dormitories with perfect facilities and convenient routine traffic service in rush hours for staff. Inside the Bird Industrial Park, there are physical and recreational facilities such as football field, tennis court and basketball court. Physical game between departments and abundant group activities are occasionally held, enriching life in spare time of staff, enhancing communication and interaction of staff and creating warm and harmonious working and life atmosphere.
