The secretariat of International Society of Zoological Sciences (ISZS), established in 2004 and affiliated to Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is devoted to development of zoology by promoting communication and cooperation among all its branches (ww***org[点击查看]).


Position Editor
Duty Station Beijing, China

Term of Reference
1)Edit journal Integrative Zoology
2)Polish manuscript of papers
3)Draft English documents of ISZS

Essential Job Qualifications
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
1)A Masters degree (it is preferred that the degree be in Zoology or Biology)
2)English as mother language is preferred
3)1-3 years of project coordination experience, preferably within a scholarly or academic publishing environment
4)Strong knowledge of English grammar, usage, punctuation and written communication skills
5)Computer skills, preferably knowledge of typesetting and an ability to learn new programs quickly
6)Administrative and managerial experience, ability to set priorities, organize paper-flow and manage time efficiently and under deadline, and work independently at several tasks at once.
7)Good problem solving ability
8)Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures.


Conditions of employment
Contract type: Service Contract with Institute of Zoology
Duration: One year assignment with possibility of renewal
