Major Duties:
• Manage hardware (PC’s, Mobile phones, PDA’s, servers, printers, network equipment etc)
• Manage software
• Provide ICT end-user support
• Provide informal training of end-users during call resolution
• Operate as a second line local expert group, receiving requests from GSD and other 2nd line expert groups.
• Handle the interface to GSD and the Procurement function. Identify and suggest changes to enhance this process.
• Handle the interface to the IT Coordinators in the region.
• Tape management for backup/restore jobs. Ensure that tapes are changed and stored according to VerIT procedures.
• Participate in local IT related projects if requested by the BA’s. Agree with team manager.
• Handle local applications (where special agreement with the BA’s exist)
Qualifications:
-Be service minded and to show a positive attitude towards end-users
-Work systematic and have good communication skills
-Have the ability to work individually and maintain a high team spirit
-Ability to travel frequently across the region
-Effective troubleshooting skill
-Have proficiency in English – spoken and written
-Experience in maintaining hardware
-Experience using and supporting Microsoft products
-Have relevant computer education with minimum bachelor degree
-Minimum 1 years user support experience
