| 单位介绍 | The Pentland Group was founded in Liverpool in 1932 as the Liverpool Shoe Company by the parents of the present Chairman, Stephen Rubin, who joined the company in 1959, becoming Chairman in 1969. The Liverpool Shoe Company was floated on the London Stock Exchange in the late1960's. The name ‘Pentland' first appeared in 1971 and the Group went on to be known as Pentland Industries, before becoming Pentland Group in 1989. During the 1980's and 90's the Group made a number of acquisitions such as Speedo International, Ellesse UK & International, Mitre International and Berghaus and became licensee of such brands as Kickers, Lacoste footwear and Skechers. The original Liverpool Shoe Company over time has grown to become our Pentland Shoe business. Pentland Group remained a public company until November 1999, when, having been a constant majority shareholder, the Rubin family regained full control of the Group. The Group has had it's headquarters in Finchley since 1985, however, many of the brands have a heritage in the UK cities where they are still based. In addition the Group has a large warehousing division, based in the Blackburn and Sunderland areas and a Shipping division based in Manchester. Internationally the Group is well represented, with offices in around 30 countries worldwide. Many of these offices belong to the Group's sourcing division, based in the Far East. Pentland Asia is the Asia based sourcing subsidiary of Pentland Group and manages product development, production in 3rd party factories, quality control and logistics in apparel and footwear. Pentland Group is the owner of a number of international sports, outdoor and fashion brands, including: Speedo, Ellesse, Kickers, Berghaus and Red or Dead and the licence holder for other brands including a world-wide licence for Lacoste footwear and Ted Baker footwear. From January 2008 we are going to launch a Management Trainee program (graduate program) here in Asia. We are now looking for mature students to join in this programme. Successful participants will enjoy accelerated career development and are expected to be considered for promotion to mid-level management positions at the completion of their training. | ||
