DEVELOPMENT Solutions (DS) is a European consultancy working internationally in the field of sustainable development and sustainable investments across the four divisions of policy consulting, energy and environment, business facilitation and human capacities. Our public sector clients include the European Commission, European Member State governments and international organisations. On the private sector side we support investors to realise projects with sustainable applications, particularly in the areas of environment, energy efficiency and climate change. Our expertise, applied mainly in emerging markets across Asia, steers investors to meet the challenges of sustainable investments. This work builds on our strong grounding in government relations, policy and regulatory expertise and our network of local and international institutions and experts.

DEVELOPMENT Solutions (DS) is looking for a talented ICT Officer, with a focus on graphic design, to join our team. The ICT Officer will primarily work on graphic design for websites and print ready artwork. The ICT Officer will report to the ICT Manager and Senior Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Graphic design for interactive and dynamic websites and newsletters
• Print ready artwork and document design (brochures, backdrops, name cards, logo creation, cover pages, e-cards, booklets, PowerPoint presentations, letterheads, corporate forms and templates)
• Assist the ICT Manager in areas of System and Network Administration and Maintenance under direction
• Assist the ICT Manager in website and database development under direction

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Graphic design related university degree or certification
• Working knowledge of design software such as Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash, Acrobat), Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Freehand, Publisher), QuarkXPress
• A portfolio of previous designs
• Graphic design for international development assistance programs an advantage

Personal Attributes

• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Able to work in an organised manner with limited supervision in a fast moving work environment
• Willingness to work after hours
• Experience of working in an international environment in China an advantage
• Fluent spoken and written English skills essential
• Working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and/or South East Asian language an asset
