Job Description

OAM Software Designer

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the product development and support of Nortel OAM systems

- Analyze functional requirements and implement new features.

- Provide support of developed products throughout the release cycle.

- Work with other global Nortel teams as required.

- Execute the quality processes to ensure customer satisfaction with all product deliverables.

Required Skills:

Mandatory Skills

- Java or C/C++ programming knowledge and experience
- Be familiar with software development under UNIX environment

- Knowledge commensurate with experience in the software development processes from high level design, functional spec, detail design, coding, and unit test plan.

- Motivated, demonstrated initiative and display of a can-do attitude

- Strong Mandarin and English communications skills

- Strong problem solving skills with solid software development background

Nice to Have Skills

- Wireless or Wireline software development experience

- Experience or background in development of OAM or OSS systems

- Scripting: Perl, Unix Shell, etc

- Object Oriented analysis of large software system

- Integration of third party software

- Software development and debug tools: Rational Rose, Clearcase, Purify, JProbe

- Protocol knowledge of CORBA, SNMP, TCP/IP
