POSITION TITLE:Test Development Engineer

PURPOSE
THE GLOBAL INDUSTRIALIZATION BEIJING (ENTRY PLATFORM) BUILD UP
Test & Verification department in the Industrialization unit in Beijing is responsible for the production test development in Sony Ericsson products. Working in the product development projects as the link between platform/product development and volume factories, our objective is to optimize the test design and the manufacturing process of a mobile phone to make it easy and cost efficient produced with high production yield and at the expected quality level throughout its life time.



MINIMUM POSITION REQUREMENTS

Academic/Professional Education

You have a M.Sc. in general electrical engineering or Computer science you have basic electronics education and knowledge. Fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite.


Relevant Experience
There are a number of sub-categories within this role to which this functional description applies: Baseband test developer / RF test developer / Optics test developer / Acoustics test developer so any experience from optics/ Rf / Acoustics / BB testing and test systems.


Technical Skills & Knowledge (outside academic/professional education)

Well documented production and/or industrialization experience. Excellent (documented) competence in C++ software development design is crucial Experience within high volume manufacturing.


Major Responsibilities
Develop components for the Production test system, including test methods and drivers

In parallel with the product development projects, you are also evaluating new technologies. Secure Everest as a global reusable test platform.

Document test system activities including modifications to Everest components and processes

Ensure quality of project deliverables through appropriate verification

Provide test platform support to product projects through the TTM and HVM phases

Support prototype builds, both off-site and on-site.

Keep up to date with emerging technologies within own technical area.

Follow existing processes and guidelines such as EDMP, coding standards and TTM.

Participate in specifying requirements on phone platforms, ITP and other critical deliveries.

Participate in development of test strategy when required

Act as mentor to and help develop competence of Test Engineers
