JOB TITLE, Project management engineer (PM)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Driving projects from initiation to delivery and ensure that the software developed by the in-house team meets the expectations of the group business. Managing multiple projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business analysis and requirement gathering
o Investigating group business for project requirements, design for software features.
o Reviewing features required by the business teams and writing technical specs to engineers .
Scheduling and coordination
o Arranging feasible project schedules according to business requirements and resource.
o Negotiating between business team and developing team by being persuasive across teams. Coordinate communication between the wide range of teams involved in deploying, operating, and using the platform.
o Drive main communication efforts (web, mail, reporting, etc)
o Calling for meetings between departments for business logic and software feature discussion.
o Driving engineers work to meet the schedule.
Software bug and work assignment
o Assigning work to engineers.
o Assigning and tracing bug solving process.
Development process quality assurance
o Checking and orgnizing project developing documents.
o Ensure codes matching standards.
Software delivery
o Perform the first round software test and driving quality releases.
o Handling software deployment by messages and user guides. User guides and related help documents are actually composed by developing engineers.
Reporting
o Periodically reporting to the superior manager by concise and precise resultful reports for projects status according the orginal schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
o BS Degree or above.
o 2+ years project management working experience.
o Strong presentation skills, communication skills and the ability to influence others.
