** WebSphere Application Server(WAS) Software Engineer **

This job openning is for the WAS system verification test(SVT) to ensure the quality of WAS family products, and to support local WAS clients/business partners.

** Job Responsibilities **

WAS System Verfication Testing (WAS SVT)
- Responsible for the design and implementation of WAS SVT architecture, test application, and scenarios to build more comprehensive view of customer usage scenarios.
- Design and accelerate automation infrastructure deployment in support of better end to end testing and agile development.
- Execute and enhence WAS SVT test scenarios during the product development lifecycle.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and solving WAS product problems by the working with WW WAS product teams.
- Strong technical and communication skills to collaborate with worldwide WAS product architects and development team for the discussion of WAS product features and test design.

Local Customer/Business Partner Support
- Direct interact with IBM internal business groups and local customers/business partners to discuss the business case and value proposition of WAS technology in the solution.
- Make technical product presentations and demonstrations in the customer site.
- Well communicate with customers to gather the requirements and build Proof-of-Concept(PoC).
- Work creatively and analytically to solve the problems in customer environment, and support the critical customer situations.
- Client focus and the ability to build customer info and feedback into WAS product and SVT to improve the product quality and consumability.

** Job Requirements (skills/experiences) **

Strong background on WebSphere Application Server or other J2EE application server products experiences.
A thorough understanding and hands on experience in Java/J2EE application infrastructure, Web Services, and other emerging technologies, e.g. SOA and Web2.0.
Strong skills on Database, and familiar with Unix/Linux operating system.
Good exposure to software development methodologies and experience in working with customers and industry solutions.
Advanced problem solving skills.
Experience in design and implementation of new technologies and products is a plus.
Fluent in the English language (both written and spoken)
Proactive, self-motivated team player with great communication, ownership and teamwork spirit.

** Qualifications(Education/Major) **

Bachelor, Master or Ph.D degree major in Computer Science or related.
