We are expanding. AOL China Development Center is looking for web publishing, application and UI engineers for its Publishing development center in Beijing. These engineers will be working with teams to deliver compelling, highly automated web content for various channels. They will participate in the architecture, design, and development of web applications based on proven, open source technologies utilizing content acquired from partners and internal data sources. They must be highly adaptive, creative and open-mined with the ability to apply industry standard technologies and rapidly deliver products based on product requirements. They must have strong passion to technologies and internet product development. The following are the qualification requirements.

Content Acquisition and Ingestion Engineers

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering
* Strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills.
* Strong RDBMS and data modeling skills
* In-depth knowledge of XML/XSD/XSLT
* Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
* Knowledge of search engines
* Programming Skills: Java, XML parsers (JAXB, XmlBeans, StAX), MySQL, SOLR/Lucene, XML/http, OOD/OOP, JDBC, JMS, Mule ESB, Spring, Java Persistence API (JPA), Hibernate
* IDE and Tools: Eclipse/NetBeans, ant/maven, Junit, Cruise Control, Grinder
* Proficiency in English both verbal and written would be a plus.

Web Application Engineers

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering
* Highly creative, idea-driven, autonomous problem discovery and solving.
* Experience with design of dynamic web applications using JSP/Servlet/ Struts/JSF, Java EE.
* Knowledge of RDBMS/SQL
* Knowledge of XML/XSD/XSLT
* Programming Skills: Java, JSP/Servlet/ Struts/JSF, XML, Tomcat, HTML/XHTML, HTTP, OOD/OOP, JDBC, MySql, Ajax, JavaScript
* IDE and Tools: Eclipse/NetBeans, ant/maven, Junit, Cruise Control, Grinder
* Proficiency in English both verbal and written would be a plus.

Web UI Engineer

* BS/MS degree in related areas.
* Highly creative, idea-driven and ability to think out of the box
* Experience with design of advanced, dynamic web pages
* Programming Skills: XML, XSLT, CSS, HTML/xhtml, JavaScript, Flash, AJAX
* Industry product experience with design and implementation of web pages
* Proficiency in English both verbal and written would be a plus.

Web Development Engineers

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering
* Highly creative, idea-driven, autonomous problem discovery and solving.
* Knowledge of RDBMS/SQL, XML/XSD/XSLT
* Strong PHP programming skill
* Experience with Drupal platform
* Experience using JSP/Servlet/ Struts/JSF, Java EE would be a plus
* Programming Skills: PHP, Java, JSP/Servlet/ Struts/JSF, XML, Tomcat, HTML/XHTML, HTTP, OOD/OOP, JDBC, MySql, Ajax, JavaScript
* Proficiency in English both verbal and written would be a plus.

Content Acquisition and Ingestion QA Engineers

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Previous experience in test plan and test case development required
* Operating Systems: Unix and/or Linux
* Proficiency in writing shell scripts desirable
* Previous experience in testing relational database management systems and must be proficient at SQL
* Previous experience with installing and configuring Tomcat
* Knowledge of XML highly desirable
* Previous experience in writing test harnesses Java is highly desirable
* Previous experience with automation tools for functional and load testing highly desirable
* Proficiency in both verbal and written English skills is a plus.

Web Application/ UI QA Engineer

* BS degree in Computer Science or related field
* Previous experience in test plan and test case development required
* Knowledge of Relational database management systems and SQL desirable
* Knowledge of XML
* Previous experience testing web applications based on Java, XML, Tomcat, HTML, MySql (four years experience for lead)
* Previous experience with automation tools for functional and load testing highly desirable
* Proficiency in both verbal and written English skills is a plus.
