position:00605 broadband networks system intern

Responsibilities


· To carry out the assigned tasks and report progress to the System design Manager & Project Manager.

· Comply with and follow the directives, instructions and procedures implemented in the Broadband Networks R&D Center.

· To support the System Design team to analyze product designs, requirements and new technologies

· Assist the System Design team to ensure quality of the deliverables (products, processes and services) from the job assigned covering system design to End-user documentation

· Participate in technical co-ordination teams, when applicable.

· Attend technical seminars.

· Participate in pre-studies, ensuring transfer of applicable knowledge.

Qualifications
· Master degree in CS, EE, Telecom or equivalent

· Excellent knowledge of Communication systems and their design

· Understanding of the Telecom market and its players

· Excellent teamwork and cooperation spirit, both professional and personal integrity, proactive and positive learning attitude

· Effective written and oral English communication skills

· Well organized, flexible and professional.

· Experience in at least one of the following areas:

- L2 & L3 Ethernet Switching

- Broadband access technologies, i.e. xDSL or PON

- Transmission networks and technologies, i.e. SDH or Carrier Ethernet

- Embedded SW development, i.e. Linux

- Embedded HW development, i.e. high speed digital design

- Mechanical design, i.e. outdoor enclosures or consumer products

- Environmental standards and verification methods, i.e. EMC or EMI testing

- VoIP via SIP or H.248


Availability: Now and at least 3 full days a week
