Intern works on web 2.0 related performance analysis work.

Job Description
---------------
The candidate will participate in performance analysis work on
web 2.0 related area within Solaris OS as well as Linux. Work
involved includes

-specific open source application domain knowledge gathering
-benchmark the open source applications
-diagnosis the application bottlenecks
-find performance improvement opportunity from tuning/code change
-write/document final findings in report

The ideal candidate should be self motivated, with the ability to
work independently and also demonstrate certain leadership capability.

knowledge/skill required:
- Knowledge of C/C++, java
- Experience with Solaris, UNIX, and/or Linux.
- knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS
- Performance impact analysis/corrective action

Preferred knowledge/skills:
- knowledge of php, ruby
- Familiar with software development processes and best practices
- Proficient in both conversational and written English
- Good communication skills and ability to work remotely
- Ability to work independently
- Basic project management skills
