Job Description : Software Engineer
Requirements:
* Knowledge of C, C++ and assembly language programming
* Minimum one year prior experience with embedded processors
* Ability to interface with hardware engineers and understand hardware documentation
* A degree in software engineering or its equivalent
* Embedded Linux experience is a strong plus.
* Prior experience with ARM, AVR32 and Coldfire processors is a plus.
* Facility with oscilloscopes and video test equipment is a plus
Responsibilities:
* Write control and human interface software for QuStream’s line of professional video products.
* Organize control structures for video products based information from hardware engineers and documentation and from marketing product descriptions.
* Coordinate with technical writers as they produce end-user documentation for products.
* Compose the controls sections of validation tests for products and supervise the execution of these tests.
* Maintain clear documentation, backups and version control on all projects
* Other technical tasks in support of the development of professional video products including feasibility analysis of marketing recommendations, estimation of cost and schedule for future projects, troubleshooting and debug of problems on existing products, and occasional customer field service.
