Work Area:

Metals Operations Group

Main purpose of Job:

Traffic operations listed below (main tasks)

·         Covering offshore copper concentrates and offshore lead concentrates; as well as overseas copper blister to customers.

·         Solely responsible for accessing and updating shipments

·         Coordinate P&Ls, stock sheet and exposure.

·         Coordinate handling of all issues relating to staff out of office.

Typical Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct contacts to customers

·         Written and verbal contacts with suppliers and in particular receivers

·         Visits where required to clients

·         Co-ordinating the shipments with our customers contract negotiation, signature, coordinating of issuance

·         Letter of credit negotiation according to sales contract terms, as well as amendments (value, expire date, terms) and acceptance where necessary of discrepancies.

·         Arranging for inspection, sampling, assaying and umpire of the various products

·         Declaring quotational periods (hedge) in writing with client – with solid understanding required concerning adjustments

·         Preparing for all necessary documentation (holding certificates, bank releases, transport documents, due diligences, stock inspection, insurance, invoices etc.)

·         Arrange assay exchange

·         Checking and arranging payments, claims

·         Put through pricing when customer order; work for pricing in nights and all kinds of none-work hours during LME working days.

2. Bank contacts

·         Opening/checking letter of credit

·         Arranging for documents and collection of payments

3. Shipping

·         Arranging for the various international transport by sea-, rail-, barge and truck, vessel nominations and acceptances

·         Arrange issuance of LOI where necessary in close coordination with finance and management

·         Approval of vessels to only take place in presence of fully workable letter of credit and in absence thereof coordinate with management

·         Insuring the cargo/transports

·         Being in regular contact with shipping agents

Experience

Knowledge

Skills

-          Major in International Trade, Supply Chain Mgmt, Marketing, Business Administration and others related to trade and operation

-          Good command in English (CET 6 min, and TEM 8 will be a plus), PC literacy

-          Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines and under pressure

-          Communication skills and numeral literacy are very important
