Why APABS?
The Asian-Pacific American Business summit (abbreviated as APABS) is the summit held two times annually in Beijing and Washington DC, in order to promote business corporation between Asian-Pacific area and the U.S.
The benefit of participating APABS’ volunteer program can be summarized into five main parts:

1. Envision the world from a broad perspective valuable experiences and advices from influential leaders in various fields.
2. Profound knowledge and deep insight of industry and firm dynamics, trends, opportunities and success strategies across different fields.
3. Abundant career opportunities through the connection with sponsors.
4. Outstanding coworkers, friends and mentors.
5. Chance to go to America for Washington DC Summit 2008 if an excellent performance is accomplished.


Qualification
1. Some knowledge about html, css, php, and mysql, ability to maintain the website, flash design ability is a plus.
2. Currently enrolled in a university in China or in the U.S.
3. Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, strong communication skills
4. Conference volunteering experience.

A Brief Introduction of APABS
Focused on issues related to business and economy, Asian-Pacific American Business Summit (abbreviated as APABS) is a leading summit held in Beijing. The summit aims at establishing a communication platform to exchange ideas and promote business cooperation between the Asian Pacific region and the U.S. Meanwhile, APABS is hoping to provide elite students with the opportunity to have direct contact and thought communication with leaders of various business related fields throughout Asia and America. We are expecting to generate new ideas which will be eventually adopted into practice in promoting economic development, and inspire the younger generation to work towards leadership roles in the international business arena in the era of globalization.
In 2008, APABS sincerely invite professionals, business leaders, academically and international thought leaders from all over the world, especially from the Asian Pacific region and the U.S to participate in this summit for speeches and deep discussions on issues regarding to business and economy. Furthermore, the summit will see participations of students from top universities including undergraduates and graduates both in China and the US, looking forward to communicating thoughts with distinguished speakers.
Organizing Committee of APABS is a student-run organization which includes approximately 60 undergraduate to graduate students in China and USA. This committee is created for ensuring the Beijing and Washing DC 2008 summit to be a success. The diverse group and elite organizing board work closely to inspire new ideas to promote exchanges and business cooperation across the Pacific through this conference.
