Hays Executive is a UK listed headhunting firm currently assisting their client Devanlay-Lacoste with setting up their Asia Pacific Headquarter.
Lacoste is a Paris based company founded in 1933 that sells high-end garment (70% of total business), footwear, perfume, bags and small leather goods. The company can be recognized by its green crocodile logo. As from 1999 Lacoste licensed its trademarks to P&G (perfume), Pentland Brands (Footwear), Samsonite (Bags and small leather goods) and Devanlay SA (garment).
As exclusive worldwide garment licensor of Lacoste, Devanlay is responsible for all design, production, distribution and advertisement of the Lacoste brand.
Devanlay- Lacoste is currently building an Asia Pacific Headquarter in Shanghai which will cover Greater China, Korea, Japan and some other countries in the Asia region. The Asia Pacific Headquarter manages all Devanlay-Lacoste factories in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and China in addition to several OEM factories.
Devanlay-Lacoste factory in Shanghai employs about 200 people and is focusing on manufacturing knit wear and the crocodile logo.
Title: Assistant to Cutting & Sewing Manager
Department: Quality Department
Location: Shanghai (Pudong)
Key Objective:
- Assist the Cutting & Sewing Manager with monitoring and following up the quality level through the cutting, sewing and garment assembly stages ensuring the highest quality of the cut and sewed items in line with the high-end Lacoste requirements.
- Act as liaison/translator between the Cutting & Sewing Manager and the foreign Head of the QC Department
This opportunity will give you the chance to work with a top level brand and to be trained by somebody with more than 15 years of experience in cutting and sewing.
Experience:
- Bachelor Degree of above in Garment or Textile relevant
- First work experience with garment will be an advantage
- Excellent oral and written English a must
- Proficiencies in all Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Be well organized, results orientedand able to solve problems
- Responsible, self-motivated and a positive “can-do” attitude
