Job Title: Development Chemist

Business: Huntsman Asia Technicial Centre

Reports to: Development Manager

Location: Minhang, Shanghai

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. To ensure that the business meets company & statutory EH&S guidelines

2. To contribute to the Huntsman Polyurethanes and Minhang-ATC improvement process associated with the laboratories by

þ Awareness and following of ISO 9001/14001 processes and guidelines.

þ Waste minimization.

 

3. Under supervision to assist with the development of products and services for the Asian Automotive market by:

þ Support in running internal and external trials on machines

þ Physical testing using internal equipments or outsourcing

þ Packing and Shipping of samples to customers

þ By assist in competitive information collection through product analysis

þ Coordinate maintenance of equipment in lab & machine halls

þ Ownership of housekeeping in Machine hall, labs and technical preparation area

 

4. To maximize the cost effectiveness of ATC by:

þ Ensuring that lab chemical and consumable costs are optimized.

þ Timely sample preparation & dispatch to minimize logistics costs

 

Requirements:

· Master Degree or above in Chemical related majors is a must

· Knowledge of PU technology or formulating skills is a plus

· Minimum of 3 years lab experience is a must

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Fluent MS office software skill

· Fluent in both written and oral English
