1.      Specialist / Engineer, SW Development

Job Description:

We are looking for motivated software development engineers to join us. Your responsibilities will cover module design, implementation and unit and functional test as well as test automation activities. You co-operate closely with verification team to ensure software quality and to make the product development work more effective. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.

Requirements:

      Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.

       Knowledge of J2EE, C++ or Java programming languages.

       Object oriented programming (Java) skills.

        Knowledge of database.

     Knowledge of GPRS network.

     Knowledge of version control tools, such as ClearCase.

     Knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and WAP is a plus.

        Knowledge of international standardization is a plus.

2.      Specialist / Engineer, Integration & Verification

Job Description:

Are you the motivated professional in the area of SW Verification? Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for Integration and Verification Engineers/Specialists to join our development team in Chengdu. You work in projects as a part R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes. Your responsibilities cover test planning, test automation development, testing and verification. Also, support for system verification may be required from time to time. Sometimes you need to use your expertise in your area in investigating and answering customer care questions. Note, that we have reserved some room for adjustments in your job profile depending on your level of expertise.

Requirements:

    You are a person who usually get's the "big picture" of things quite fast and wants to

      understand also the surroundings of your own area.

    You must have understanding of SW development processes and you see the

      importance of testing in the process.

        Previous experience in testing and verification work is definitely preferred.

       Basic script language (e.g. Perl), Java and C++ skills are appreciated.

Job Description:

Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for motivated engineer in the system verification area of Messaging/Browsing/RichCommunication products development in Chengdu. Your responsibilities will cover efficient and effective verification of the compliance of the products with customer requirements and system requirements, and the release quality criteria. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.

Requirements:

        Knowledge of GSM/GPRS network.

       Sound Linux or other UNIX-like operating system knowledge.

      Familiar with testing tools and test automation systems.

     Script programming skill including shell script, Perl, Python.

     Database (Oracle, Informix or other relevant DBMS) administration/tuning skills .

       Knowledge of MAP, HTTP and TCP/IP protocols.

      Knowledge of load balancing and high availability.

    Knowledge of international standardization is a plus.

      Knowledge of Products such as F5 BigIP, HP ProCurve and EMC CX is a plus.

You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.  

Requirements:

     You are experienced in database software development.

     Sound experience in database products, such as Oracle, Informix and mySQL.

           Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.

    Object oriented programming (C++, Java) skills.

    Knowledge of version control tools, such as ClearCase.

  Knowledge of memory database, load balancing and high availability is a plus.

6.      Project Manager 

Job Description:

Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for Project Managers to join our R&D team in Chengdu, China. This role requires an experienced project team leader, who has good understanding of SW development and verification.

You will be in charge or SW development or verification projects. Your responsibilities cover project planning, follow-up, guiding project members and insuring the quality of deliverables for the product programs.

The work is organized in project teams, which have a close co-operation. This includes teams located on other Nokia Siemens Networks sites, and this adds the international nature to the position. We can also offer you an opportunity to travel sometimes to other countries to meet the colleagues there and agree with them the plans and co-operation. Fluent international communication is needed in this position; therefore good language skills are essential

Requirements:

You have experience in managing a software development team, either as a direct manager or project leader. Team size has varied from five persons to ten or more.

You are capable of ramping up your knowledge rapidly on a wide variety of subjects.

You enjoy working as part of a multinational team, and you are flexible, enthusiastic, and have the ability to look at the big picture.

7.      R&D Manager / Team Leader 

Job Description:

8.         System Architect 

Job Description:

The main responsibilities are listed below. Based on your expertise and skills the content and responsibilities of your job will be tailored for the best fit for both you and our company.
To understand deeply telecommunications new technology trends, 3G, messaging service. To be an expert in one of these technical domain, (SIP server, SMSC, MMSC, WAP, HA ). Write technical and architecture specifications for product features. Work closely with project manager and development team to make sure that the implementation meets the architecture design requirements. Analyze deeply from technical point of view the gap between our product and the market need, define architecture for extensions together with product manager and system architecture team. Solve complex software problems, analyze software performance and product performance. Review product documentation. Provide input to system verification team and test case planning.

Requirements:

You are experienced in telecommunications product development.   

More than 5 years of commercial software development experience and experience in telecommunications domain at least 1-2 years as architect.

Experience with Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.

Deep understanding of OO and design patterns.

Experienced C++/C or Java/J2EE programmer.

Knowledge of SS7, MAP, SIGTRAN, WAP, SMTP, Corba, TCP/IP.

Knowledge of GSM/GPRS and 3G network.

Knowledge of SIP and RTP protocols.

Experience with agile and iterative development such as Scrum, XP is a plus.

Knowledge of ACE/TAO is a plus.

9.         Product Specialist / Manager 

Job Description:

We are looking for Product Manager, Rich Communication Clients to join Application Products' Client SW Product Line.  As Product Manager you will own NSN Rich Communication Client products and manage them throughout their whole life cycle.
 Creating release strategy and product roadmaps by screening customer requirements and analyzing market/technology/competitors. Planning product releases in alignment with Product Line Strategy. Ownership (if applicable) of the Product Master Plan. Managing possible product and/or release content changes during product creation. Setting targets for the product cost structure. The position will be based in Cheng Du. The product manager will report to the Head of Client SW Product Line.

10.    Laboratory Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Laboratory Engineer to join our R&D team in Chengdu, China. You are responsible for developing and maintaining a laboratory environment for Nokia Networks products. Your main task will be to set up a testing laboratory and maintain a verification environment for testing of different products and platforms R&D programs. This involves hardware and software installations, testing support and looking after the IP networks, including routers and switches.
The work is organized in project teams, which have a close co-operation. This includes teams located on other Nokia sites, and this adds the international nature to the position. Fluent international communication is needed; therefore good language skills are very important.

Requirements:

Knowledge of IBM blade.

Knowledge of IP protocols and IP networking.

Familiar with UX administration, perl and UX shell script.

Familiar with Telecom network, especially MSS, and HLR.

Job Description:

Write/edit, review, test and deliver technical customer documentation for software

projects, including end-user operation and maintenance manuals and on-line helps for

GUIs. Responsibility might also required to work as a Project Leader, managing a

customer documentation project, or part of it, as the single customer documentation

contact point.

Requirements:

University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or English

2-3 years of experience in Technical writing, preferred.

General knowledge in telecommunications and technology.

Excellent English-language skills, especially in written English.
