本人有一英国朋友，打算写一本关于上海老人的书——他们对过去的回忆。她现在需要 2 — 3 名翻译（上海话——普通话）。她负责所有的交通费用。整个过程大约三周时间。
 
条件
 
1）周一到周五至少有2到3天早上有时间。
2）上海同学（会讲上海话的外地同学也行）。
3）踏实、认真、善于沟通。
4）英语水平一般般就可以
 
她是一个很友好的女孩子，几年前在中国人民大学读过书，中文讲得很好。你可以利用这个机会跟她交朋友，她经常举办一些party，到时候你将交到更多的外国、中国朋友。

Research/translating experience
The project:
 
This is a research project, the ultimate aim of which is to create a book collecting the memories of old people in Shanghai. Proceeds of the book sales will go to a charity related to old people and their welfare in Shanghai, or will be donated to the old people's homes directly. 

The first part of the job involves interviewing old people at various homes in Puxi and Pudong, and collating their stories: their early memories and recollections. All will be recorded on a dictaphone, but Chinese researcher will need to interpret my questions into Shanghainese, and interpret what they say. 

The second part of the job involves taking the recordings, and typing it up into standard Mandarin (for me to translate into English). Some knowledge of English would be an advantage, but is not essential. Candidate will need fluent Shanghainese and Mandarin. 

All transportation paid for. When traveling, if candidate so desires, I can give him/her practice in speaking English (I am an experienced English teacher)
 
This job is very flexible. Probably weekday mornings best. Can take up to 3 weeks: estimated 30 hours of interviewing. If 2+ qualified candidates apply together, can share job. 

Valuable experience practicing interpreting skills, working with a laowai, improving interviewing skills, working with old people and liaising with welfare sector, seeing name in print when book is published etc.
