Device Common Technology is seeking for a physical layer (L1) and/or MAC layer (L2) expert(s) whose main focus is on system research,  analysis and standardization of advanced wireless systems.
 
He/she will focus on 3GPP Long Term Evolution research and standardization particularly on TDD track in the home program of Nokia/Nokia Siemens Networks.
 
Wireless Systems Research is part of Common Technology of Nokia Device R&D. We are a multinational team being located at 6 different sites: Helsinki, Oulu and Salo in Finland, Farnborough in UK, Beijing and Shanghai in China. Our studies focus on enhanced/new technical solutions for physical layer and radio access protocols to be utilized in the further development of wireless systems and standards.
 
The location of the position is in Beijing, China.

You should have a M.Sc. or higher degree preferably from the field of wireless communications but also other fields like electronics or computer science could do. Previous work experience on cellular system research or standardization is favored.

Full-time work with Nokia in our office area is required. And the labor contract will be signed with 3rd company; Your salary will be F2F decided in terms of your competence

 Job requirements:

1) Well-experienced in OFDM based wireless communication system. Proactive knowledge for E-UTRAN (3G LTE) or WiMAX will be a plus.
2) Practical experience in software development using C/C++ .
3) Previous experience in wireless system level simulation is a MUST.   
4) Deep understanding of wireless communication technique and theories
5) Reasonable English skill for reading, writing and speaking
6) Holds master degree in EE or related area, Ph.D is a plus.
