Job Description
Job Title: Human Resources Administrative Assistant (Intern)
Dept: Human Resources
Job Summary
Under general supervision provides support for the Human Resources department. Responsible for confidential record keeping and filing, data entry into Dynamics HR module. Performs recruiting duties such as CV screening, phone interviews, scheduling of all interviews, reference checks, etc.
Essential Functions
" Responsible for all confidential filing of personnel records and benefit files.
" Asssist in coordination of company events.
" Maintains the employee database and all transaction records related to hires, promotions, transfers and performance reviews.
" Ensures there is a supply of forms available to employees.
" Performs CV screening, phone interviews to screen applicants for entry level positions, schedules interviews, performs reference checks.
" Builds orientation packets, schedules and performs new employee orientation meetings
" Orders temporary staffing for the needs of all departments, as necessary.
" Updates online orientation and HR Intranet site.
" Complete Employment Verifications.
" Schedule Interviews, including booking rooms, greeting candidates, etc., as needed.
" Order Supplies for the HR Department
" Retrieve and Distribute Mail for HR Staff
Qualifications
1. Education: AA or equivalent desired. BS/BA a plus.
2. Experience: 1-2 years HR related experience.
3. Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and basic computer operations skills are required. Knowledge of PowerPoint is helpful.
5. Detail-oriented.
6. Ability to prioritize work and maintain confidentially of employee information.
