Department Description
The Consumer & Industrial Microcontroller team is a critical and exciting part of the Microcontroller Solution Group of Freescale Semiconductor. The C&I Team is responsible for the definition and drive behind next generation Consumer and Industrial Microcontrollers and successful outbound marketing to aggressively grow our business much faster than market rates in a highly competitive $5 Billion market.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
- Product marketing for consumer and industrial microcontroller and microprocessor products.
- The primary project will be related to MCU new product definition /introduction. Play a critical role in our ad supported business planning.
- Product roadmap synthesis and presentation
- Target market demand research
- Financial analysis on different product lines
Specific Knowledge/Skills
- MBA with bachelor degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in Engineering, Product Marketing, Brand Management, Business Development and/or Communications
- Comfortable in marketing discussions on technical topics
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Highly motivated self-starter
- High Attention to detail
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to comfortably deal with many levels within an organization
Preferred/Plus
- Microcontroller applications or systems development experience
- Financial understanding
- Financial model building experience
- Field sales experience
- Experience and success in an entrepreneurial environment
