Fiat Powertrain Technologies is the sector of the Fiat Group dedicated to Powertrain.

Fiat Powertrain Technologies unifies all the innovation capabilities and expertise in the design, development, production and sales of engines and transmissions.

With its annual output of around 3.1 million engines and 2.5 million gear boxes, 20.000 employees, 15 plants and 10 research centers in 7 countries, FPT is one of the most significant players in the automotive industry on a worldwide basis.

Almost 3,000 highly skilled technicians are dedicated to the development and engineering of innovative technologies for new generation powertrains; their work is focused on the development of clean and efficient engines, with the aiming of the reduction of engine and vehicle emission and fuel consumption, anticipating the introduction of increasingly stringent emission legislation.

FPT is present in China with a Trading Company and two joint ventures.

Furthermore, a Research & Development center is being created in the Jiading District, Shanghai Municipality.

Now FPT is sincerely inviting the talented Master students who will graduate in 2009 to take part in our Internship Program. We offer several positions in Manufacturing Engineering.

Civil Engineer

Vacancy: 1

Responsibilities:

1. Help the engineers do projects relating to building and utilities

2. Sort out and archive the technical files

3. Other ad-hoc works assigned by the manager

Requirements:

l      In depth understanding of civil engineering

l Auto CAD drawing

l Good knowledge of work analysis methods

l Fluent English both oral and written

Budgeting and Controlling

Vacancy: 1

Responsibilities:

1. Help the engineers do projects relating to budget planning and controlling

2. Sort out and archive the technical files

3. Other ad-hoc works assigned by the manager

Requirements:

l      In depth understanding of economics and project management

l Good knowledge of work analysis methods

l Fluent English both oral and written

Start Date: 1^st July

Working Location: Jiading, Shanghai

Internship Period:

For the students from the universities other than in Shanghai, they must do full-time internship from July to August (not less than 30 working days)

For the students from the universities in Shanghai, they can do part-time internship, 3 days per week, before November (not less than 30 working days)

Compensation: Shuttle bus, meal and intern allowance
