Position: (Senior) Member of Technical Staff
Organization: Beehive Performance/Stress Testing and Sizing, Server Technology
Location: Oracle Asia Research and Development Center in Beijing, China

Our group focuses on revealing and investigating issues related to scalability, reliability, and availability of Oracle Beehive and its underlying products, Oracle database server and Oracle Application Server (AS). In addition, we measure Beehive performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and develop software that can help customers plan and deploy.

We e currently looking for highly motivated and experienced individuals to join us for the performance/stress testing and sizing project of Oracles brand-new collaboration product, Beehive. Beehive is one of the latest product lines of Oracle with great revenue growth potential. It integrates messaging, files sharing, web conference, wireless access, calendar and time management, voice mail & fax service, and many more. Its aimed to tackle toughest collaboration problems among coworkers in a company, members in a community, and so on.

Youll have the unique opportunity to
· Develop software that can simulate complex real-world Beehive client
load and monitor the healthiness and effectiveness of UNIX/Linux/Windows
· Learn the latest technology of 3 major Oracle products - Oracle Beehive,
database Server and Application Server
· Gain expertise in identifying and triaging software performance,
stability, and availability problems;
· Get familiar with Oracle High Availability solution;
· Work closely with many different teams at Oracle (development, testing,
release management teams, Data Center, etc.) and improving skills by
constant cooperation with them;
· Improve communication skills through daily phone conversations and email
exchanges with people in different countries.

Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and support Beehive performance and sizing tool, which
will be used by internal teams at Oracle and external customers for
Beehive testing, sizing, monitoring, and deployment verification;
· Execute performance/stress testing to discover performance, stability,
and availability defects;
· Work with Beehive component teams to investigate and resolve the product
defects;
· Provide Beehive tuning, performance, and sizing suggestion to
documentation team and customers;
· Work with Oracle Data Center to ensure successful deployment of Beehive
within Oracle;

Qualifications:
· BS/MS in CS from top universities, at least two years of working
experiences;
· Strong programming skills in JAVA/C++, PERL/Unix shell;
· Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills. Self-motivated with
strong capability of learning;
· Familiar with XML, HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, and other Internet
technologies;
· Extensive experience with UNIX platform. Experience with Linux will be
desirable;
· Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL. Knowledge of Oracle Application
Server is a plus;
· Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Team player,
but can work independently as well.
