Job Description:

The candidate will work with the Design Compiler R&D team to design, develop, and maintain the synthesis engine and product features. Design Compiler is the industry leader in logic synthesis and is expected to continue strong growth. The job includes DC benchmarking suite maintenance and software development in a sophisticated development environment.

The likely project areas are (but not limited to) research and development of core logic synthesis and timing analysis technologies, capabilities to continuously improve quality of synthesis results, feature and usability enhancements to the Design Compiler product, and implementation of new software infrastructure, data models and interfaces for a more efficient development environment. Candidate will take the role of an individual contributor on core logic synthesis projects to address next generation design requirements.

Requirements:

1) BS in CS/EE with 3+ years or MS with 0-2 years of relevant experience in programming software of related fields is desirable. Circuit knowledge and design experience is plus.
2) Familiar with EDA or VLSI design, especially in logical hierarchy and timing constraints. Previous usage experience of DC a plus.
3) C programming, TCL, Perl, shell script programming experience.
4) VHDL and formal verification experience will be useful.
5) Strong desires to learn and explore new technologies and able to demonstrate good analysis and problem solving skills.
6) The candidate will closely work with US teams. So good written and verbal English communication skills are necessary.
7) Self-motivated and good team working spirit.
