Exploration Geologist

Teck Cominco Ltd is a diversified company with a reputation for success in exploration and development of zinc, lead, copper, gold and coal deposits. We currently have exploration offices and projects in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ireland, Mexico, Namibia, Peru, Turkey and the United States. We now have an Exploration Geologist position available in our Beijing Office for conducting exploration activities in China. 

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Under the guidance of Senior Geologist, executing exploration programs, collecting geological reports and relevant data, geological mapping, geochemical sampling, drill core logging, and result interpretation.   
• Contributing to a safe working environment.

 Skills and qualification of the successful candidate should include:

• BSc or MSc degree qualification in Geology
• Loving geological field work, eager to learn and to improve geological skills
• English skills
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
