Job Title: Senior Applications Engineer
Job Description:
The Senior Applications Engineer is a key role on the development team. He/she will have ownership of and responsibility for extending and maintaining the application layer of a portion of the companys flagship product, ARCHIBUS/FM.

ARCHIBUS/FM is a unique, next-generation ERP system for real estate and physical assets that is intended to be a market-dominating platform. It combines Windows, Web, and CAD technology in a synergistic way. The product is large and the work is sophisticated; consequently, the team assembled is tightly knit and places a high value on intelligence, team work, and effective communication.

This role requires customer focus, a deep understanding of the product, an outstanding level of technical proficiency, great leadership and communication skills, and the ability to establish and enforce specification and coding standards for the team. Operational responsibilities include the following:
" Acting as a senior member and mentor for the China-based Applications Engineers (AEs) and Database Manager.
" Working closely with the Technical Team Lead in assigning technical tasks and to the AEs and Database Manager, and resolving both technical and team-related issues.
" Managing, implementing, and maintaining a large software product.
" Helping the Technical Team Lead in overseeing any bugs assigned to the team.
" Handling technical escalations from Applications Engineers for system integration and Java questions.
" Creating and executing unit tests on the software business logic.
" Communicating and coordinating frequently with the Boston office, in English.
Requirements:
Essential requirements include: B.S. in Computer Science, fluency in both written and spoken English, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, team-oriented attitude, and 3+ years of professional experience.

Specific essential technical skills are:
" Professional-grade CSS, XSL, and .JS experience
" Advanced SQL code-writing experience in Oracle or SQL Server
" Solid proficiency with an object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C#)
" Business process modeling skills
" Data modeling skills
" Experience writing technical specifications, including pseudocode and workflow rules
" Experience with a source code control system such as StarTeam or Visual Source Safe
" Extensive knowledge of Windows operating system
" Extensive understanding of software development processes

Plusses include:
" Consulting experience, especially in CRM, ERP or Corporate Real Estate automation
" Experience integrating with Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, and/or SAP databases
" Experience with accounting principles or developing accounting software
" Experience with server-side Java
" Experience with .Net programming
" Experience with CAD
" AutoCAD ARX programming
