Job Description:

Responsibility:
In this position, you will be coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire materials, components, equipment, and services in a cost effective and timely manner. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting commodity deliverables to assure cost, quality, availability and time to market objectives are met
- Acquiring and maintaining technical understanding of products purchased
- Performing cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities
- Performing benchmarking and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate
- Monitoring the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value
- Recommending cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, value engineering, design for cost initiatives, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria
- Responsible for contract negotiation and maintenance, setting supplier expectations and tracking performance. At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities
- Executing strategic and tactical responsibilities of Facilities service commodities with a focus on managing the commercial side of the business
- Conducting contract, price and payment terms negotiations
- Driving supplier continuous improvement through supplier management
- Responsible for providing total cost solution to the customer base while adhering to Procurement policies and procedures

Qualifications:
- You must possess a Bachelor of Business Administration and/or a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Architecture, or Materials and/or Purchasing.
- A Master of Science degree or an M.B.A. would be an added advantage.
- You should have intact of integrity and strong sense of responsibility, which are the key characteristics for this position.
- You should have high ability of learning, and open mind on the new idea and approach.
- You should have good team work sense and good communication skill.
