Job Description:
Integrate hardware and software of different nodes to implement mobile radio network, core network and IP Network.
Design and perform integration tests, debug node and system issues, verify compliance of interfaces and features

FV (Function Verification) Engineer
1 Description
This Job Description applies to FV Engineer in RBS I&V Dept. of Access Network R&D Center, BJ/CBC.

2 Objective of the job
To work with Function Verification within the CBC/XR projects on sub-system and node level.
Obtain and maintain a wide knowledge of Ericsson wireless communication products and I&V environment and methodologies used within Ericsson R&D Centers and in other organizations.
Assure that the function verification activities within CBC/XR are performed efficiently.

3 Reporting
She/He shall report to RBS I&V Unit Manager and RBS I&V Director.

4 Responsibilities
• To design and establish integration and verification scope, environment and methodologies.
• To carry out effectively and efficiently all the integration and verification activities regarding both sub-systme and node level.
• To complete test record/report and analyze verification results.
• Responsible for Trouble Report (TR) and Change Request (CR) handling within the objects.
• Comply with and follow the directive, instructions and procedures in force in the company and CBC/XR.

5 Main tasks
• Function Intergration and Verification within CBC/XR projects.
• System verification, regression test and FOA support.
• Development of test cases for specific products and projects.
• Establishment and development of I&V test environment within CBC/XR.

6 QUALIFICATION
• Master or Bachelor degree, major in EE or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge of Wireless Communication systems, especially the base station products
• Deep understanding of function verification concept
• Familiar with RAN signaling precedure
• Good at analysis and trouble-shooting
• Tools handling capability on both HW and SW
