II. Organizational Context
Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Country Director and direct supervision of the Team Leader (Democratic Governance & HIV/AIDS), the Programme Coordinator acts as a manager of and advisor to management on all aspects of Sichuan earth*** recovery and reconstruction programs and Disaster Risk Management projects in China.
In view of UNDP's long-term engagement with earth*** recovery in Sichuan province, Bureau of Crisis Prevention and Response (BCPR) has approved a two-year Early Recovery and Disaster Risk Management initiative including setting up an Early Recovery and Disaster Risk Management Unit with a field team in the Country Office. Under the Democratic Governance & HIV/AIDS Team, the ER & DRM Unit would serve as a specialized technical and project management unit in the Country Office, supporting a portfolio of projects to address post-disaster social and economic recovery and natural disaster risk reduction in a transitional and development context.
Her/his main role as the head of the Unit, the Programme Coordinator would lead the unit in planning and implementing the ER & DRM programmes while ensuring consistency with CCF/UNDAF and other priorities as determined by the Country Office. S/he would also maintain a strong working relationship with the UN/UNDP HQs and regional offices and act as the specific focal point on early recovery and disaster risk management for the Country Office.

II. Organizational Context
Under the overall guidance of the Team Leader of the Democratic Governance and HIV/AIDS team and direct supervisor of Programme Coordinator of Early Recovery and Disaster Risk Management Unit, the Programme Associate ensures effective delivery of the programme/project implemented by the Unit by entering and managing data and supporting programme implementation consistent with UNDP rules and regulations.  
The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects' staff in the Country Office and UNDP HQs as required for resolving complex finance-related issues and exchange of information.

Under the overall guidance of the Team Leader (Democratic Governance & HIV/AIDS) and direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator (ER&DSM), the Disaster Reduction and Livelihood Advisor acts as a field manager of post-earth*** early recovery programme and advisor on disaster management related issues.

S/he would also provide technical and managerial assistance to other the disaster risk reduction issues as required by the County Office.
