Research Engineer: Turbine Aero Engineer
Job Requirements:
l Perform innovative research and development (R&D) in a multidisciplinary area of aerodynamic and heat transfer analysis /design of turbo machinery.
l Create CFD and analytical models of turbines, compressors, or sub-components, in order to analyze temperatures, pressure loss, efficiency, operability and fluid dynamics.
l Perform design and optimization tasks such as impeller blade profile, nozzle shape and number, using CFD analysis and tools such as Campbell diagram.
l Applications currently under study include combined heat and power systems and variable capacity HVAC and refrigeration systems.
l PhD in mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, or related discipline
Minimum Qualifications Required:
l MS or PhD in mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, or related discipline
l Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills
l Technical breadth and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in both China and USA MS or PhD in mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, or related discipline
Preferred Candidates will possess the following:
l MS or Ph.D. in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience
l Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
l Knowledge in gears, bearings, seals, pumps and other components for a turbo-machinery system is a plus; experience with design or manufacturing of turbo-machinery is highly appreciated.
l Solid technical writing, presentation, and communication skills
l Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial attitude towards innovation
