Job Description一China Office Contractor
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited University in Agriculture, Business or a Related
Field. Sales or business experience is preferred.
Language
Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English
Travel
Successful candidate must be able to obtain a passport and visa to travel to the U.S.
While most of the travel will be within the Shanghai metropolitan area, some travel in
China will be required as needed.
The successful candidate will only represent the Missouri Department of Agriculture
Sob Respansibilifies
1) Assist Missauri companies and trade teams traveling to Shanghai and other cities
including such services as: arranging itineraries, acting as a translator, arranging
transportation, providing country brief ngs, and business counseling.
2) Identify buyers and recruit them to travel to Missouri
3) Generate trade leads and forward them to the fefferson City office
}) Act as a liaison between Missouri companies and Chinese Customs and Government
Agencies for product and company registration.
}} Develop working relationships with the U.S.D.As Foreign Agriculture Service and
U.S. Agriculture Cooperators such as the U.S. Grains Council, the U.S. Soy Export
Council, American Hardwood Export Council, and the U.S. Meat Export Federation
6) Inform Missouri companies of new market opportunities and changes that could
positively and negatively impact their business.
7) Report Foreign Direct Investment trends and opportunities.
8) Accompany buyers to Missouri
9) Travel to Missouri to meet potential exporters and learn about their companies at}d
products
10) Prepare and carry-out an annual marketing plan
