The candidate will be a team member in the development of RF products for high speed data and video transmission networks. Development responsibilities may include product specification, qualification, design, troubleshooting, technology investigations, cost reductions and system verification testing. The candidate will work in a project R&D team environment in cooperation with international marketing, operations and support teams for international markets. Embedded Software Engineer Job Description: We are looking for a self-motivated experienced embedded software developer to join a small team working on commercial products for Scientific-Atlanta’s Access Network Business Unit. The ideal candidate would be able to implement and test embedded software for communication network elements. Responsibilities: Develop Embedded SW using software development best practices Integration testing of SW on HW platform including optimization and debugging of problems Team communication on new ideas and presentations to other team members Attend document and code reviews to provide peer feedback Required Experience: M.S. or above in CS/CE/EE with project work in RTOS Strong programming knowledge with C / C++ Knowledge of embedded OS such as Linux and VxWorks. Good understanding of communication networks and protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and FTP. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese. Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up minded group within a larger company is a must. Experience with Visual Basic, C#, or Java is also a plus. Electro-Optical Engineer Job Description: The candidate will be a team member in the development of Optical and RF products for high speed data and video transmission networks. Development responsibilities may include product specification, qualification, design, troubleshooting, technology investigations, cost reductions and system verification testing. Responsibilities: Responsible for contributing to the design, development and testing of optical transmitters / receivers for broadband transmission network products. Optical communications system design and Optical/RF circuit development for Cable TV applications over Hybrid Fiber Coax networks. Engineering support for cost reduction activities including specification development, vendor interfacing and qualification testing. Work in a project R&D team environment in cooperation with international marketing, operations and support teams for international markets. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to be a contributing team member of a world class development organization with a focus on quality and on time delivery to a global market. Required Experience: MS Electrical Engineering or MS Optical Science. Be familiar with RF simulation software such as ADS or Genesis Understand CATV network and SNMP network management protocol. Experience with optical system design or fiber optic component design. Experience with circuit simulation tools and optical measurement equipment such as spectrum or lightwave analyzers, etc. Excellent communication and documentation skills in both Chinese and English. Preferred Experience: MS Electrical Engineering 2-4 yrs R&D Experience Analog and Digital circuit design experience in addition to RF background CATV or Telephony industry experience in a product development environment Mechanical Engineer Job Description: The candidate will be a team member in the development of complex transmission network products for broadband voice, data and video networks. Development responsibilities may include product definition, specification, qualification, design, troubleshooting, technology investigations and cost reductions. Responsibilities: Responsible for contributing to the design, development and testing RF and optical equipment enclosures for indoor/outdoor hardened environments for the CATV and Telco markets Design and support of die-cast metal, machined metal and plastic parts for RF and optical equipment Participate in cost reduction activities including specification development, vendor interfacing and qualification testing Work in a project R&D team environment in cooperation with international marketing, operations and support teams for international markets The successful candidate will have a strong desire to be a team member of a world class development organization with a focus on quality and on time delivery to a global market. Required Experience: BS Mechanical Engineering Experience with 2-D and 3-D modeling and design in Pro-E, AutoCAD, Illustrator, CorelDRAW Experience with design analysis tools such as thermal analysis (FLOTHERM), structural analysis, etc. Excellent communication and documentation skills in both Chinese and English Preferred Experience: MS Mechanical Engineering 2+ yrs R&D Experience Experienced with aluminum die casting, sheet-metal design and support Experienced with injection molded plastic part design and support Experience with designing environmentally hardened products for the CATV or Telephony industries Experienced with products designed to meet NEBS Telco requirements ECAD Designer Job Description: The candidate will be a team member in the development of complex transmission network products for broadband voice, data and video networks. Development responsibilities include PCB definition, specification, qualification, design, troubleshooting, technology investigations and cost reductions. Responsibilities: Responsible for contributing to the design and development enclosures for indoor/outdoor hardened environments for the CATV and Telco markets Design new PCB per Engineer’s input as well as modifying existing PCB designs. Work with design and manufacturability engineers in order to secure performance, quality and productivity Work in a project R&D team environment in cooperation with international marketing, operations and support teams for international markets Work with PCB suppliers The successful candidate will have a strong desire to be a team member of a world class development organization with a focus on quality and on time delivery to a global market.
