Role and Responsibilities:
This student will work under the supervision of the local Financial Controller and will report to her. The job will consist in assisting the local Financial Controller in the monitoring of the accounting quality in the various China locations by reviewing, analyzing, validating and pushing for implementation and changes in current Operation and accounting process controls.
Requirements:
Review of accounts substantiation to ensure correctness
Monitor manual entries in the different locations in China through analysis and sample testing to ensure a good control environment is in place.
Monitor the status of bank account reconciliation:
Assist in new initiatives (if any) to enhance better control in Accounting Permanent Supervision.
Coordinate with internal counterparties in Paris if necessary in projects or new initiatives.
The candidate will have a country/regional exposure in a dynamic job environment as he/she will deal with other colleagues in different countries in Asia Pacific.
The candidate will have a broad understanding of banking operations among different departments which can help him/ her to develop career path in investment banking industry.
The candidate can enhance the communication and analytical skills through different accounting control tasks.
The candidate will enhance the knowledge and understanding on financial products (e.g. derivatives).
