2002年8月，花旗集团旗下的花旗银行在上海成立了其附属子公司，花旗软件技术服务（上海）有限公司（以下简称“花旗软件”）。花旗软件的目标是通过提供软件开发和相关技术服务来参与并支持中国信息科技产业的发展。
花旗软件目前主要为花旗集团亚太地区、中东及欧洲国家提供软件开发和技术支持，并为花旗集团亚太地区提供后台数据处理服务。总部在上海，下设大连、广州和珠海三个分公司，截至目前为止我们共拥有近1500位员工，其中开发人员占75%左右。
花旗集团深信培养下一代是对中国做贡献的最好方法之一。为了促进中国信息科技的发展，配合公司的成长需要，于2004年4月我们正式成立了花旗集团金融信息科技教育项目。通过这项旨在培养当地金融信息人才和支持中国金融发展的项目，20所中国高校学生将从中受益。花旗软件将为这些学生提供实习岗位以及良好的职业发展机会。

Introduction to Citicorp Software and Technology Services (Shanghai) Limited
(CSTS)
Citigroup, the world’s leading financial services company, provides consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services in more than 100 countries. Citigroup has a long history in China, dating back to May 1902, when it became the first International bank to establish operations in the country. Today, Citigroup is the premier foreign bank operating in China, offering the broadest product range of any foreign bank, and continues to play a key role in contributing to the long-term development of China.
In 2002, Citicorp Software and Technology Services (Shanghai) Limited (CSTS), a subsidiary of Citibank, and a member of Citigroup, was established. Providing software development and related technical services, the goal of CSTS is to participate in and support the development of China’s information technology industry.
The main task of CSTS is to provide software development and technology support for Citigroup in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Europe. Data processing services for Citigroup in the Asia-Pacific region are also provided. The organization is headquartered in Shanghai, with two other branches in Dalian, Guangzhou and Zhuhai. CSTS currently employs around 1500 employees, about 75% of which are software developers.
Citigroup believes that educating the next generation is one of the best ways to contribute to China’s future. In order to promote the development of Chinese information technology as well as to meet our own rapid growth needs, in April 2004 the Citigroup Financial IT Education Program was established. Students from 20 major universities in China stand to benefit from this initiative that is designed to increase local financial IT talent and support the development of China’s finance sector. CSTS will provide internship opportunities for participating students and offer them outstanding career and growth opportunities.
Our vision, our local talent, our world-class facilities, and our global intellectual property make CSTS an important contributor to China’s IT sector, and an important element of Citigroup’s global operations. Looking ahead, CSTS will continue to grow our management team and consolidate our leadership in software and technology services for consumer banking. We will also extend our services to other Citigroup entities outside Asia-Pacific consumer businesses. It is the vision of CSTS to become a “Center of Excellence” in banking software both for Citigroup and for China.
