GEO/GO EDP (Engineering Development Program)

Job Responsibilities
The EDP (Engineering Development Program) is the training and development program for young graduates. Its purpose is to develop Air Products' future engineers, managers and leaders. It provides the opportunity to fresh graduates to learn the company's business, products, technologies and operating methods in their early careers.
- The EDP engineer will fulfill 3 x 8 month assignments in different groups of GEO(Global Engineering Organization) and GO (Global Operations) of the company in Asia.
- For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives and job description will be discussed, agreed and documented at the beginning.
- Every EDP engineer is assigned a senior manager to guide and advise them as they progress through the program.
- The EDP engineer is encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from their colleagues.
- At the end of the 24 months' EDP period, each EDP will seek a full time assignment in GEO Shanghai or GO China or Asia region.
Qualifications
- Fresh postgraduate, with bachelor or master degree in engineering in one of various technical disciplines.
- Intern experience in engineering program/project is preferred.
- Excellent English skills, both written and oral; skillful in use of PC software tools.
- Open, proactive and willing to learn.

Asia Technology CDP (Career Development Program)
|

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct applications development, technical service, product development, market research, engineering and others as defined by the business/function.
- Three 12-month assignment rotations within three different businesses/functions.
- The first assignment will be with Performance Materials - Applications Development and Technical Service.
Qualifications

- PhD or Master's degree graduate
- Major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science
- Good English language skills (verbal and written communications)

Job Responsibilities
The CDP (Career Development Program) is the training and development program for young graduates by attempting the methods for growing future engineers, managers and leaders. It will provide the opportunity to the talents to learn the company's business, products, technologies and operating methods in their early careers.
- The IT CDP will fulfill 3 x 8 month assignments in different groups of Global IT or other business of the company in Shanghai.
- For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives and job description will be set up.
- Every IT CDP is assigned a senior manager to guide and advise them as they progress through the program.
- The IT CDP is encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from their colleagues.
- At the end of the 24 months' CDP period, each CDP will seek a full time assignment in Asia IT Org in Shanghai.
Qualifications
- Fresh graduate, bachelor or master degree in IT, engineering, or relevant major is required.
- About 1 year intern experience in IT application development or infrastructure project is preferred.
- Excellent English skills both in written and oral.
- Open, proactive and willing to learn.

Commercial CDP (Career Development Program)

Job Responsibilities
This CDP will take his/her first assignment as a Marketing Analyst for TGEE (Tonnage Gases, Equipment and Energy) Marketing Analyst in Tonnage Gases (TG) will focus on growth opportunities in the Oil, Transport Fuels, Chemicals and Metals Market Segments.
- Develop and present to AP China business management market analysis projects aimed at creating medium to long-term growth opportunities for this high growth business.
- Exposure to the fast growing China Markets for refining, petrochemicals, chemicals and metals manufacturing.
- Analyze current market trends to forecast customer demand and analyze immediate business opportunities to qualify best prospects.
CDP Job Expectations:
- Early on the job intense training in Refining, Chemical, Petrochemical and Steel.
- 8-12 months commitment to marketing analyst position.
- Future move into other TGEE or AP China division positions.
- Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to work independently and meet market project milestone/deadlines .
- Travel within China may be a part of the job for certain market research projects (conferences, joint meetings with business development people).
Potential Projects/Opportunities may include but not limited to the following:
- Growth of transport fuels in China and their impact on future refinery H2 demand.
- Analysis of chemical and petrochemical markets, players and future growth opportunities.
- Analysis of steel and non-ferrous markets, players and future opportunities.
Qualifications
- Master degree in relevant discipline, MBA will be a plus.
- Technical (and financial skills- preferred) to create/run excel spreadsheets, and power point slide presentations to communicate market analysis projects supporting the growth of tonnage industrial gases for AP China.

Finance CDP (Career Development Program)

Job Responsibilities
- Performs financial analyses of new investment opportunities and potential business combinations/acquisitions and supports the business team in development of commercial proposals.
- Prepares financial analysis in support of capital expenditure authorization requests for management review and approval and coordinates input/review with tax and treasury and where necessary performs US repatriated earnings analysis.
- Proposes Air Products' position on financial issues during negotiations throughout the project development phase.
- Involved in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, business area reviews, capital forecasting, and strategic plans and often called upon to provide a coordinating role in these activities, as well as ongoing business reporting.
- May perform analysis on other financial issues such as dividend policy, ownership structure, currency-related transactions and issues and tax matters.
Qualifications
- Master degree in Business/Economics/Engineering, a good MBA is an asset.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to think strategically about business opportunities and investments. Must have strong commercial sense.
- Excellent initiative, ability to work independently with limited supervision and flexibility to adapt quickly in a matrix organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Experience in progressive industry experience as financial analysis, experience in project analysis in a multinational company is preferred.
