I Overall Responsibilities
Serve as one of the key technical experts for industrial robotics hardware related architecture/components development.
II Principal Accountabilities
System analysis & design for hardware development related to industrial robotics system
Document the results of R & D activity through patent applications, technical reports and publications
III Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
• MSc. or PhD with excellent development experience in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or equivalent background that can demonstrate strong capability in one or more than one of the following areas:
1. Power electronics, especially for motor control and industrial power supply design.
2. Electronic component selection, analysis, test and maintenance.
3. Servo control system and its tuning
4. DSP or Power PC-based hardware design
5. FPGA design
• Excellent knowledge in Analog circuit and digital circuit design
• Familiar with embedded system development
• Know industrial automation such like robot, PLC or CNC.
Behavioral Skills Preferred:
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Good command of written & spoken English. and capable of working with global ABB organization
• Open-mind and energy.
• Able to promote teamwork
Position & Title: Mechanical Engineer: Analysis and Simulation for Industrial Robot Design
Location: Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone, Pudong district, Shanghai.

I Overall Responsibilities
Serving as one of the technical experts involved for mechanical analysis and simulation of ABB robots.
II Principal Responsibilities
Detailed mechanical arm and component analysis for industrial robot.
FEM.
Life time analysis.
III Requirements
• MSc with 5+ years related working experience in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, and MSc. or PhD with equivalent background.
• Solid background in solid mechanics and structure analysis.
• Good knowledge of mechatronics such as drive train design.
• Skilled in using Nastran or similar FE tool.
• Able to develop own tools for analysis.
• Interest to learn new technology, Open-minded, Creative.
• Good organizational skills and can create and participate in cross-group process definition for robotics system integration.
• Behavioral Skills Preferred: Effective communication and presentation skills. All development is done in project form.
• Good command of written & spoken English.
Position & Title: Mechanical Engineer: Design for Industrial Robot
Location: Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone, Pudong district, Shanghai.

II Principal Responsibilities
Detailed mechanical arm and component design for industrial robot.
Supervising and interacting with supplier.
Design of new manipulator structure and drive chain for industrial robot.
III Requirements
• Bsc with 5+ years related working experience in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, and MSc. or PhD with equivalent background.
• Solid background in mechanical design, structure analysis, and manufacturing process.
• Good knowledge of mechanical component design such as machining, castings and elements.
• Skilled in using Solid Works or similar modeling tools, and normal office tools.
• Interest to learn new technology, Open-minded, Creative.
• Good organizational skills and can create and participate in cross-group process definition for robotics system integration.
• Behavioral Skills Preferred: Effective communication and presentation skills. All development is done in project form.
• Good command of written & spoken English.
Position & Title: Software Engineer: Firmware development
Location: Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone, Pudong district, Shanghai.

II Principal Accountabilities
System analysis, design and development for robot real time control system
Proposals for projects in the future that can bring benefits to ABB robotics
Document the results of R & D activity through patent applications, technical reports and publications
III Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
MSc. or PhD with excellent development experience in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent background that can demonstrate strong capability in the fields of automatic control system
Hands-on experience in VxWorks real time software development
Familiar with embedded system development such as DSP, PowerPC.
Know FPGA design
Know industrial automation such like robot, PLC or CNC.
Behavioral Skills Preferred:
Effective communication and presentation skills
Good command of written & spoken English. and capable of working with global ABB organization
Open-mind and energy.
Able to promote teamwork
