Position Technical Support Engineer
Department Technical Support
Location Shanghai, China

Responsibilities
• Supporting customers and Field Staffs at customer sites on the issues
related to installation, configuration, and tuning of PLM applications, which
involve Oracle, Web Servers, and Java technologies on both UNIX and Windows
platforms
• Troubleshooting technical problems, reproducing/debugging issues, developing
workarounds as well as working directly with development team on
solutions delivery and verification
• Collaborating with other worldwide offices to provide enterprise-level support for
mission-critical systems
• Creation and implementation of technical training and documentation related to
the above topics
The ideal candidate is passionate about both technologies and problem solving,
eager to learn, able to provide creative solutions to complex issues by leveraging
their technical expertise and resources with all the constraints in the customer’s
environment (limited schedule, restricted access, etc.)
Required
Knowledge,

Skills & Abilities
Technical
• Minimum bachelor degree in Computer Science, or related field
• Familiar with Browser/Server architecture
• Familiar with Object Orientated programming, Java is a plus
• User level with basic administration knowledge on Unix/Windows
• Experience in installing, creating and configuring Oracle database or similar
relational databases. (normalizing or tuning skills a plus)
• Developing/troubleshooting skills of web-based application (Java, Applets,
Servlets, JSP, XML, HTML, and Web servers/Servlet engines a plus)
• Basic network administration knowledge
• Windchill related experience is a plus
Soft skills
• Strong customer handling experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills to provide creative solutions
• Prioritization & self-motivated
• Ability to quickly master new products and technologies
Languages
• English (Business Level), CET-6 or above
• Mandarin (Native Level)
• Korean/Japanese is a plus
