Position 1:              Software Engineer – NMS

Job Summary:

·         Follow the development process and guidance of senior members of the team, participate in the entire lifecycle for NMS features design, coding, testing and bug-fixing;

·         Write technical specifications such as design specifications and test plans;

·         Work with other staff, such as peer NMS, embedded and testing engineers to resolve issues;

·         Develop engineering tools to facilitate and improve the development process;

·         Maintain existing systems by monitoring, identifying and proposing solutions;

Qualifications:

·         Self motivated team player

·         Able to learn quickly and willing to share knowledge

·         Demonstrated Java programming skills

·         Good understanding and insight in all aspects of software development

·         Knowledge and experience on Solaris or Unix based platforms

·         Knowledge and experience in SQL programming

·         Good understanding of RDBMS

·         Ability to trace, analyze, reproduce and fix software problems

·         Telecommunication experience of telecommunication systems a plus

·         Able to communicate effectively in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English

·         Master or above in Computer Science/IT, Electric Engineering, Computer, Engineering, Informatics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Telecommunications

Position 2:              Software Engineer – Embedded

Job Summary:

·         Design, develop and debug component and system level embedded software/firmware for state-of-the-art telecommunication equipment.

·         Write design specifications for multi-processors, multi-processes and multi-thread systems in C and C++ environment.

·         Participate the troubleshooting and solving of complex software and system issues encountered in customer sites

·         Assistance with issue resolution may include analyzing and identifying problems using advanced debugging skills and tools, recreating these problems in Lab environment, locating the flaw in software and finally, generating and testing software fixes to correct the flaw.

·         Working with multiple site architects, release technical leads, feature leads toward release deliverables.

Qualifications:

·         Master or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, or related with Excellent grade.

·         Strong C and C++ skills and experience with object-oriented development strategies through full development life cycle

·         Experience with Linux OS, Real-time Linux, VxWorks, or other RTOS

·         Fluent in English including reading, writing and speaking.

·         Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.

·         Good analytical and problem solving skills

·         Knowledge of data network and optical network will be a plus

Position 3:              Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Embedded

Job Summary:

·         Create, write and execute test plans for manual and or automated tests and work on embedded optical networking systems using optical and protocol test equipment.

·         To be involved in the evolution and execution of procedures for ensuring the quality of new enhancements and releases of software.

·         To be involved in scripting automated test development or coding.

Qualifications:

·         Requires a masters degree or above in Communication, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.

·         Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Performs a variety of tasks.

·         Works under immediate or general supervision.

Must have knowledge and/or expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:

   - Knowledge on telecommunication or date network is a must.

  - Should have HTML, UNIX and Windows 2000/XP experience.

- Knowledge on testing is highly desirable.

- Knowledge on SDH/ SONET/ ASON is highly desirable.

   - Proficiency with PERL, UNIX Shell scripting or any other scripting language is highly desirable.

- Knowledge on Oracle or other database;

Position 4:              Software Quality Assurance Engineer - NMS

Job Summary:

·         Responsible for products testing implementation, test case design, and analysis of technical products and systems.

·         Performs SW product feature requirement analysis and design evaluations.

·         Develop testing tools and testing scripts.

·         Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.

Qualifications:

·         Requires a masters degree or above in telecom communication, Electrical Engineering, or computer science.

·         Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Performs a variety of tasks.

Must have knowledge and/or expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:

  - Should have HTML, UNIX and Windows 2000/XP experience.

  - Experience testing Java and Web based applications is highly desirable.

  - Experience with Oracle and relational databases is highly desirable.

  - Knowledge of SONET/SDH/ASON is highly desirable.

  - Proficiency with PERL, UNIX Shell scripting or any other scripting language is highly desirable.

- Experience on TMF, SNMP, TL1 and XML.

Position 5:              Technical Writer

Job Summary:

·         Plan, organize, write, and edit end-user documentation for optical telecommunications products

·         Provide information for users, and be eager to learn and apply best practice technical communication techniques including information gathering, information design, document flow, and delivery. 

·         Summarize technical information into meaningful, concise presentation format for users

·         Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

·         Maters degree required in English, Journalism, Technical Writing

·         Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures

·         Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker and Acrobat Distiller

·         Clear, concise communication skills: written and verbal with and eye for details

·         Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

·         Strong business acumen

Must have knowledge and/or expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:

- Should have HTML, UNIX and Windows 2000/XP experience.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word

- Familiarity with Adobe’s Acrobat Distiller

- Familiarity with Quadralay’s WebWorks or Adobe’s RoboHelp preferred

- Working knowledge of FrameMaker preferred

- Knowledge on Telecom Network is highly desirable.
