Quality Assurance Engineer
Context:
In the context of the CMM improvement action plan, the purpose of quality assurance is to provide both project and senior management with appropriate visibility into the process used and resulting products being built.
Job description:
o Reliably evaluates work products against the applicable process descriptions and procedures
o Identifies and documents noncompliance items
o Provides feedback to project staff and managers on the results of the quality assurance activities
o Ensures that noncompliance issues are addressed
o Suggests process improvements based on observations
o Works with the project team during the early stages to establish plans, standards, and procedures that will add value to the project
o Contributes to the CMM improvement action plan
o Leads technical group(s) for process improvement
o Interfaces with other R&D locations for quality activities
Required profile:
o At a minimum 5 years of experience in software development
o Good understanding of CMM framework
o Able to conduct meetings and interviews with mother-tongue speakers of English
o Able to manage meetings efficiently
o Open mindedness and diplomacy
o Firm but fair
o Innovative but pragmatic
o Customer focus
o Good communication skills
