CREATIVE/ DESIGN
1) Design Developer
Responsibilities:
· Advise New York (NY) of local trends in design, fabric and trim development through market research, trade shows, and factory visits.
· Work with NY Design team to develop brand appropriate artwork.
· Interpret and create based on NY’s direction (i.e. embroidery design).
· Manage seasonal color line sheets and take care the creation and update of tech packs.
· Work with internal and external departments to manage the entire sampling process through final fit, lab dips and any wash approvals.
· Conduct hand off meetings to production once order has been placed.
· Complete all tasks according to corporate Time & Action Calendar.
Requirements:
· Bachelor degree in Art & Design discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
· Prefer to have International private brand experience and global travel exposure.
· Must have basic knowledge of fabrics, washes, garment construction, trims, etc. and have in-dept knowledge of US market (design aesthetics and price points) to create a saleable product.
· Ability to create sketches both by hand as well as with computer.
· Proficiency in updated software technologies including Photoshop, Illustrator (Mac/PC), MS Office & PDM/PLM systems.
· Fluency in both written and oral English.
2) Assistant Designer
Responsibilities:

3) CAD/Graphic Designer
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute artwork according to specifications.
2. Create and maintain online library of prints/artwork.
3. Upload images, ready for use by New York (NY) design into Product Lifecycle Management system that are ready for production.
4. Create CAD’s from original, hand illustrations or inspirational artwork to create Expand art combinations (prints), Repeats, Layouts, Resize, Pitch color ways, Embroideries, Licensor revisions.
5. Support concepts, sales and new launches by visual arts including Graphics, Logos, Label/trim packages, Presentation boards, Electronic versions for mounting in NY.
Requirements:
1. College/Bachelor Degree in related discipline with 3 years relevant working experience.
2. Possess graphic and textile design skills, knowledge of design/layout rules and principles.
3. Familiar with illustrative, merchandise design, art production skills is a plus.
4. Understand US market trends and customer expectations.
5. Excellent computer skills in MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, PDM/PLM systems, and stay updated on new technologies.
6. Good in both written and oral English.
MERCHANDISING
4) Merchandise Manager
Responsibilities:
· Manage vendor matrix by building and maintaining day-to-day factory relationships and presenting new options on Countries of origin, Production options, and New factories.
· Leverage business plans to help achieve production planning and gross margins as it pertains to fabric, trim and garments.
· Oversee the development sample process to accurately interpret construction, fit, materials, trims, artwork, packaging and obtain necessary approvals from proto to sales sample.
· Establish Time & Action Calendar for adopted styles.
· Offer ideas for new products and categories appropriate to brand needs
· Negotiate realistic price points to achieve price/value relationship and margin requirements, offer alternatives for costing and raw materials.
· Ensure Trim development, Product Development and Production work together to achieve Time & Action calendar and brand integrity as it relates to retailer “best practice” requirements.
· Oversee Production process to ensure all approvals are executed to achieve on time delivery and quality garments.
Requirements:
· Bachelor degree in relevant discipline with 8 years relevant working experience in which 4 years at managerial level.
· Solid leadership skills with entrepreneurial spirit.
· Experience to work with global factories and suppliers.
· Strong knowledge of strategic pricing relating to global origin.
· In-depth knowledge of design and production lifecycles.
· Strong understanding of retailer testing compliance for garments.
· Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Fluency in both written and oral English and Chinese.

6) Senior Merchandiser
Responsibilities:

7) Merchandiser / Assistant Merchandiser
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver on time production that meets all requirements and be the main contact of the factories.
2. Execute and track the production cycle on Time & Action calendar, WIP reports, all testing requirements/standards, quality management & lab submission (CTL/MTL), and sample submission.
3. Order placement and P.O. entry.
4. Facilitate the development sample process to accurately interpret construction, fit, materials, trims, artwork, packaging and obtain necessary approvals from proto to sales sample.
5. Attend trade fairs and support market research and analysis of trends.
6. Be the coordinator for Product Lifecycle Management.
Requirements:
1. College/Bachelor degree in apparel or related discipline preferably with 2-3 years relevant working experience.
2. Global sourcing experience is a plus.
3. Knowledge of materials, product construction and production process lifecycle.
4. Must be detail-oriented and have ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks
5. Proficiency in updated software technologies including MS office and PDM/PLM systems.
6. Good in both oral and written English and Chinese.
7. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Merchandiser.
8) Sample Coordinator
Responsibilities:
1. Interpret tech packs and information provided by design teams for full understanding and execution by sample rooms
2. Organize the work flow for product specific sample rooms with speed
3. Coordinate all sample yardage, trims, and on product packaging meeting requests
4. Own and negotiate the cost and volume of sampling across categories
5. Develop prints and screens for sampling with product development where necessary
6. Ensure wash standards and finishing as requested by NY design
7. Advise New York of new developments or ideas seen in samples rooms for other customers
8. Have the same “eye” as New York design to ensure expectation of samples, the correct aesthetic for the brand
9. Prepare package to send via local merchandiser to factory once P.O. is received, for next steps of sampling (i.e. fit, pre-pro, and TOP).
Requirements:
1. College degree with 1-2 years relevant experience from an outsourced sample room or a high volume factory sample room that work for U.S. customers
2. Knowledge of design team’s expectations and design elements is required
3. Good organization skills
4. Proficiency in updated software technologies including MS office and PDM/PLM systems, Photoshop and Illustrator
5. Good in both written and oral English
TECHNICAL DESIGN
9) Spec Technician
Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the complete spec process which includes spec sheets review and revision, conducting all fittings (live model/ dress forms) for each season.
· Develop and maintain all fit standards to ensure consistency for all apparel categories (i.e.: cut/sew knits, sweaters, woven, men, women and children, toddlers and special sizes) .
· Be the technical expert to make recommendations to factories when fit issues arise (i.e.: pattern and construction changes).
· Work with New York/ Asia design team to develop tech packs for samples.
· Develop and maintain accurate product specifications according to customer requirements and time lines.
· Manage accurate data in the Product Lifecycle Management system in accordance with design team objective .
· Manage Time &Action guidelines, block specs and grade rules per individual customers.
· Create and communicate pattern revisions, incorporating styling and fit changes.
· Communicate daily with internal, external employees and vendors to resolve all issues with regards to fit.
Requirements:
· College/ Bachelor degree in patternmaking, apparel or textile science with 8-10 years relevant working experience.
· Familiar with mass market retail clients and experience with large international corporations is preferred.
· Advanced knowledge of apparel development process from inception through production, including but not limited to: pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, embroidery, materials and machinery used in apparel.
· Ability to act as a technical resource and mentor others.
· Proficiency in both written and oral English .
· Proficiency in MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, PDM/PLM systems, and keep updated on new technologies.
· Have design skills including drawing, sketching, visual presentation and layout of design details.
10) Fit Engineer
Responsibilities:

· Work closely with Senior Technical Designer to understand the New York creative vision and to manage tech packs for samples.
· Maintain accurate product specifications according to customer requirements and time lines.
· Enter accurate data in the Product Lifecycle Management system in accordance with design team objective.
· Understand and follow the Time & Action guidelines, block specs and grade rules per individual customers.
· Daily communicate with internal, external employees and vendors to resolve all issues with regards to fit.
Requirements:
· College/ Bachelor degree in patternmaking, apparel or textile science with at least 5 years relevant working experience.
· Familiar with mass market retail clients and experience with factories/ suppliers on a global basis is preferred.
