Management Trainee Program Proposal Program Overview: This Management Trainee Program (MTP) is targeting at high caliber undergraduate or graduate students. MTP provides a structured training program to build a foundation through business management knowledge, equipment operation learning experience, and interactions with different function units. The total duration is 24 months and the trainee will rotate to different functions every 3-4 months or less subject to the complexity of the project. All trainees will have at least a specific project to implement in every 3-4 months that is approved by the mentor.
The foundation framework consists of: 1. Company orientation 2. Rotational job assignments in different function units 3. Projects and reports to management learning and experience acquired To enhance learning and experience, a trainee will be assigned as your mentor throughout the program, in addition to the on-the-job supervisor for each rotation. Your supervisor will coach you along the process, on topics such as work objectives, procedures and practices. All trainees will station at Asia Aluminum jobsite. We will provide competitive salary and welfare to trainees during their training period. After the program is finished and performance evaluation is confirmed to be successful, we will appoint the trainee to a specific position based on his/her performance.
Major Responsibilities: 1. The trainee needs to have strong initiatives to implement and accomplish the project, they also need to best utilize the resources in the company that includes but not limited to his/her mentors, team members and supervisors in order to improve his/her project execution capability.
2. The trainee will have one mentor in every 3-4 months. The trainee needs to keep a close contact with his/her mentor and get coaching to improve his/her performance. 3. The trainee needs to submit and present quarterly report to the General Manager. The management will consist of mentors and relative management and they will review and evaluate the management trainee program and their performance once in six months.
The successful candidate must meet the following qualification: Position: Management Trainee (8-10 people) Must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a management career within the aluminum rolled product industry Willing work at Dawang Hi-tech Development Zone, Zhaoqing Fresh undergraduate in the fields of Metal Science/Mechanical Science/Metallurgic Science/Automation or Business-related majors (Business Management, Finance and Accounting, Economic, Law, Logistics) Very good both verbal and written in English and Chinese (CET-6 or above) Good interpersonal skills, communication and team-working Mature personality, team oriented with analytical thinking and problem solving skills Good knowledge of computer systems and applications (e.g. MS office) Strong learning desire and willing to work under pressure. Has leadership and good planning and organizing skills. With sound experience as leaders of student unions/clubs and other voluntary organizations preferred Past internship experience is an advantage Selected applicants will be scheduled to take an assessment by Human Resources and managers from operation/functional units. During these assessments applicants will have an opportunity to share and demonstrate ideas, opinions and skills to managers and leaders of Asia Aluminum
