IHC Merwede. China support is supporting operations for IHC Parts and Services in China, which is a part of IHC Merwede group. IHC Parts and Services is responsible for design, manufacture and supply of dredging installations and also for replacement of spares. The IHC Group is 50% market leader in Dredging Technology. RIO China is dedicated in keeping IHC Merwede built dredging equipment cost-effectively at work by supplying service and advice. Also RIO China uses the local supply chain for producing parts and complete assemblies.

akker Sliedrecht Electro Industrie is a leading company in electric propulsion, electric winches, power generation, automation and electric controls for offshore and dredging.

In China Bakker Sliedrecht and IHC are cooperating and looking for:

Junior Service Engineer

The service engineers will be contracted by IHC, trained in the head office of Bakker Sliedrecht in Netherlands, and on the Job in China.

The reason for Bakker Sliedrecht to have representatives in China is

-          to provide assist in the commissioning of new build dredgers build in China

-          to act in future as regional service centre for all customers

The reason for IHC to cooperate with Bakker is to be able to provide al round services to our Chinese customers.

The candidate should have

-          a bachelor or master of science in power electrics/electronics

-          willing to gain experience with AC/DC drives, AC/DC generators and motors, PLC techniques and automation

-     have good leadership skills, problem solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and should be service minded.

-          Willing to gain experience in working on board of vessels.

-          Willing to gain experience in docking and repair of vessels.
