鑫海国旅的主要业务为：外国人、华侨华人、港澳台居民入境旅游；中国公民的国内旅游以及出境旅游。同时也组织安排世界各地会议、展览、商务考察等。

鑫海国旅是国际特许经营中国公民出境旅游的组团社之一，同时也是中国旅游协会（CTA）、国际航空组织（IATA）等众多国际旅游组织的正式成员。

The CNFC is directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of State Council. Its predecessor is the china Non-Ferrous Metals Foreign Engineering Corporation. Founded in 1983, it is one of China's earliest foreign economic enterprises. The principal business of the corporation is to develop non-ferrous metal resources that are in acute short supply in China and contract economic undertakings with enterprises in China and abroad. It jointly develops network information technology, finance, real estates, tourism and other industry and commerce. At present the CNFC possesses a dozen or so all-capital and state-holding subsidiary companies in China and abroad. It has over30 agencies and business enterprises, with a total capital of over 50 billion RMB. In 1998 CNFC won the certificate of international quality specification system (ISO9001).
