NRC Beijing focuses on the areas of rich context modeling and new user interface. Rich context is characterized by the use of a wide range of sensor information to aggregate data into a coherent context model. This data and its analysis form the backbone for a new class of services in areas like weather, traffic, wellness, or entertainment. Future user interfaces will need to integrate the personalization and adaptive aspects of the device side with data-sharing enabled by the back-end infrastructure. Member of Research Staff is a respected member of global research community of the corresponding area. Qualified candidates are expected to have Ph. D. in electronics engineering, computer science, or related fields; strong capability of scientific writing with strong publication record; excellent programming skills in C/C and JAVA; ability to work independently with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills in English and rich Symbian and Maemo programming experience as a plus.
