| Introduction ZAIS Group, LLC ("ZAIS") was founded in July 1997. ZAIS specializes in managing funds that invest in global distressed consumer and corporate debt, and their derivatives. ZAIS employs over 100 investment professionals and has offices in US, UK, Ireland, Tokyo, Singapore, and China. ZAIS currently manages about US$10 billion across over 30 funds. ZAIS Solutions Shanghai Co, Ltd (“ZAIS Shanghai”), a wholly owned subsidiary of ZAIS Group, is located in Pudong, Shanghai. Currently, it has about 40 employees. ZAIS Shanghai provides research and development,quantitative analysis, and mid-/back-office services to its parent company, as well as other financial institutions in Asia, Europe and US. ZAIS Shanghai is expanding its operations in China, and is looking for qualifi ed candidates to fill 10 or more new positions. Financial Analyst – Corporate (Trainee, English language required) Job Description The Corporate Financial Analyst will work closely with ZAIS global trading desks to analyze global corporate credits, and to support ZAIS in investment and fund management activities. The job may include exchange programs with ZAIS offices in Europe, US and Asia. This position offers unique career advancement opportunities. Job Requirement 1. Recent bachelor or master degree graduate with less than 2 years of work experience; 2. Finance, economics, accounting or auditing major with strong analytical and problem-solving skill; 3. Excellent verbal and written English skills. CET-4 required, other English test (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, etc)preferred; 4. Familiar with English version of Windows system and Office application; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Financial Analyst – Structured Credit (Trainee, English language required) Job Description The Structured Credit Analyst will work closely with ZAIS global trading desks to analyze global structured credit securities and complex credit derivatives, and to support ZAIS in investment and fund management activities. The job may include exchange programs with ZAIS offices in Europe, US and Asia. This position offers unique career advancement opportunities. Job Requirement 1. Recent bachelor or master degree graduate with less than 2 years of work experience; 2. Mathematics, Science or Engineering major with strong analytical and problem-solving skill; 3. Recent bachelor or master degree graduate, preferably from leading universities in Japan, with less than 2 years of work experience; 2. Mathematics, Science or Engineering major with strong analytical and problem-solving skill; 3. Excellent verbal and written Japanese skills. Japanese Level 1 required, other Japanese test preferred; 4. Good verbal and written English skills; 5. Familiar with English version of Windows system and Office application; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Analytics Developer (English or Japanese language required) Job Description We seek experienced software developers to join our Research & Development team. The position will involve developing proprietary analytical platforms used by analysts, traders and port folio managers. The applicant must be a self-directed, experienced developer who is able to participate in the development process from the specification stage through design and implementation. Good communication skills and an interest in finance are required. Job Requirement 1. Minimum 1 year of object-oriented development experience, .Net is preferred ; 2. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science, engineering or related field; 3. Detail-oriented, motivated, and have good communication and teamwork skills ; 4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English or Japanese. Web Developer (English or Japanese language required) Job Description We seek experienced Web developers to join our Research & Development team. The position will involve developing custom, reusable controls and modules, as well as contributing to our intranet and extranet reporting applications. Experience in Web reporting & charting controls/platforms is a plus. The applicant must be a self-directed, experienced developer who is able to participate in the development process from the specification stage through design and implementation. Good communication skills and an interest in finance are required. Job Requirement 1. Minimum 1 year of development experience in Web-programming - is preferred; 2. Ability to develop Web pages which conform to current standards, i.e.XHTML, standards-compliant CSS, etc; 3. Web Reporting/Charting experience a plus; 4. SQL Server experience a plus; 5. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in graphic design, computer science, or related field; 6. Detail-oriented, motivated, and have good communication and teamwork skills; 7. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English or Japanese.
