MWE China Law Office (MWE China)  with a seasoned and integrated professional team based in Shanghai was established in December 2006 by rainmaking partners John Huang and Kevin Qian.  On 1 February 2007, MWE China announced  an exclusive strategic alliance with the US firm McDermott Will & Emery.  Having the best of both worlds, the firm has significantly grown in size and revenue in its first two years, as well as contributed considerably to the expansion and success of its US alliance’s China practice. 

With a core focus on corporate and litigation matters, the firm impresses clients with its depth of local knowledge and pragmatic advice that is internationally sound.  Leveraging McDermott’s international platform and management skills, MWE China is an international standard firm based in China.  In addition to its core focus, the firm is making efforts to diversify its practice areas and has gained successful progress in expanding its practice in regulatory compliance, intellectual property and tax areas.

2.   Recruitment Requirements:

What  we look for:

We are looking to recruit ambitious, focused interns who are in the senior grade and interested in the opportunity to pursue a career in Legal field.  We will appreciate your academic successes but we will also explore your potential and your ability of excellent communication skills and team spirits, as well as your levels of motivation and ambition. 

Qualifications:

1). Undergraduate and post-graduate who will graduate next year;  Excellent graduates are also welcomed;

2). Command strong oral and written English skills, equivalent CET-6;

3). A consistently good academic record;

4). Command excellent communication skills and problem solving skills;

5). Be able  to work under pressure;

6). Possessed motivation, initiative and ambition;

7). Previous work experience in renowned law firms or relevant institutions is not required but will be considered a plus.

8). Bar qualification holder is preferred.
