Job Title: Automotive Technical Author
Main purpose of job
We are seeking some summer working students to undertake a role within our new automotive company in the area of Pudong New District, Shanghai.
Position in the organisation
You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Scope of the job
The role will involve working on writing vehicle technical information, like workshop manual. Typical activities will include:-
· Creating the vehicle technical information (Workshop manuals, owners handbooks, overhaul manuals, Electronic Parts catalogues, etc).
· Ensuring a safe working area is maintained.
· Other standard workshop activities
Dimensions and limits of Authority
Day to Day Activities
· Authoring of vehicle technical information.
· Maintaining good Working practice and ensure the Workshop is properly maintained and cleaned.
· Any other items as required by the company.
· Some business travels to other city of China in short term.
Skills Required
· Good background of Automotive in junior and senior college.
· Clear and concise communication. Communication in Chinese and English beneficial.
· Familiar with CAD drawing, e.g. CATIA.
· Self-motivated and disciplined.
· Flexible and keen to learn new skills.
· Proactive and capable of meeting deadlines.
· Able to work under pressure without supervision
· Team member · Good communicator · Problem solving · Logical and lateral thinking
