Analytics Testing
     
    Objectives:
Ø       Learn the risk management methodologies related to some of the co

mpany's core businesses: market risk, credit risk, personal wealth management

, index generation and risk management data
Ø       Gain insight into solving financial mathematics problems in areas

such as:
o        Risk management methodologies
o        Financial instrument pricing models
o        Risk statistics
o        Data mapping
Ø       Understand how the software implementation of solutions is valida

ted and verified
Ø       Gain experience in analytical software quality control process

         Qualifications:
ü       A strong team player with emotional maturity
ü       Strong problem solving skills
ü       Good communication skills in English
ü       Strong sense of ownership
ü       Self motivated
ü       An enthusiastic work ethic and an intellectual curiosity
ü       An interest in challenging projects
ü       Fast learner
ü       High academic achievements
ü       Professional work experience through either full-time job or internsh

ip preferred
ü       Very familiar with Matlab and Excel programming
ü       Hold a degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, or another quantit

ative field
ü       Outstanding mathematical and analytical skills
ü       Good knowledge of finance
ü       Detail oriented and logical thought process
ü       Familiarity with xml

Application Development

Objectives:

Ø       Gain an understanding of RiskMetrics Group's applications, servi

ces and components - institutional risk management web  applications built on

top of a service oriented architecture (SOA) backend
Ø       Program in Java, HTML, CSS, and Java Script
Ø       Gain experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) proc

esses and tools, including but not limited to revision control systems, change

control processes, and build systems and tools
Ø       Work with the local application development team as well as with

the distributed development teams
